Erect branching herbs, up to 1 m high; stems quadrangular, furrowed. Leaves variable, 6-15 cm long, 3-10 cm broad; petioles 1-3 mm long. Corolla usually white, sometimes pale pinkish-violet, often spotted yellow within and with a yellow blotch on lower lip, 2.5-3.5 cm long. Capsule erect, 15-28 mm long, 5-7 mm broad, densely villous-pubescent.Seeds about 2 mm long, pale yellow, brown, or black.
