| Description: |
Suffruticose perennial up to 70 cm tall. Leaves ovate-obong to lanceolate, 1.5 - 7.5 X 0.8 - 1.5 cm, above glabrous, below glabrescent to glabrous, apex acute to acuminate, base acute to attenuate or obtuse. Inflorescence spicate, 2 - 6 cm long, terminating in a condensed corymbose clusters, flowers whitish to bluish-pink. Fruit ovoid, dorsally compressed, mericarps usually connate, later splitting from the base into two mericarps, carpophores column-like.
