| Description: |
Annual scabrid or hispid herbs with orange coloured roots; stem prostrate and diffusely branched parts up to 90 cm high. Leaves 1.2-3 x 0.4-0.7 cm . Flowers axillary, solitary or in terminal lax spike-like racemes up to 5 cm long; corolla 18-31 mm long, tube 14-23 mm long, dotted with yellow glands, commonly purplish-red, rose or white. Capsule 5-8 x 4-5 mm, dark-brown. Seeds 1 mm long.
