Description: Synonym: Sterculia balanghas L., STERCULIACEAE, Nawa A tree. Leaves 7.5-12.5 cm long; petiole 5-7.5 mm long. Panicles hairy, stellate, 10-12.5 cm long; flowers small, 3.8 mm diameter. Fruit a follicle, ovoid, orange-scarlet, seeds few. Seeds 8 mm long, ovoid, black with a small yellow coruncle at the base.
