Description: Large shrub or small tree attaining 10 m. leaves alternate, distichous; blade suninequilateral to markedly inequilateral, rotund, ovate or obovate, the base more or less cordate to truncate to rounded, apex rounded to emarginated, sometimes obtuse or even acute, margins crenete-serrate, 18 X 12 cm, chartaceous, sparsely and minutely stellate-pubescent to glabrous above, minutely stellate-puberulous especially along the vein beneath. Inflorescence axillary, up to 6 pedunculate umbels in each axil, the umbel usually 3-flowered, flowers yellow. Fruits depressed-globose, conspicuously 2-lobed, 6 - 10 mm wige, black (when dry) and sparsely hirsute.
