Woody twiner. Leaf blade 3 - 9 cm long, 1.4 - 6 cm wide, truncate, rounded or very obtuse, rarely shallowly cordate at the base, acute or short-acuminate at the apex. Cymes shorter than the leaves, the peduncles shorter than to as long as the adjoining petioles rarely exceeding them. Merocarps 6 - 8 cm long, 2 - 2.5 cm in diameter, glabrous.
