Suffrutescent herb. Leaves strongly asymmetric, the larger side cordate at base, the other rounded, acute at apex, 5 - 7 veined, margin dentate-crenate, sometimes ciliate, reddish-green when young, sometimes white-spotted especially in juvenile leaves. Peduncle axillary, succulent, pinkish with few shabby hairs, 2 - 3 cm long; cymes lax; few-15-flowered. Seeds ellipsoidal.
