Description: Large, often straggling shrubs or small treesup to 8 m tall. Leaves ovate or ovate-oblong or elliptic, 10 - 20 X 5 - 12 cm, obtuse to acute at apex, obtuse, rounded or retuse at base, sometimes acute at either end, glabrous, margin sinuate-dentate. Inflorescence usually terminal spreading panicles, sometimes axillary also in the upper few leaves, many flowered (up to 500 or more).
