Description: Large tree,-40 m tall, branches dense, ascending. Twigs and panicles densely persistently dark fulvous tufted tomentose; petiole, lamina nerves and midrib below sparsely so; outside of stipules and bracts. Twig c. 5 mm diam., stout, much branched; stipules -25X6 mm, narrowly hastate. Panicles -25 cm long, -4 mm diam. At base, stout, with -12 cm long branches bearing -8 more or less second flowers.
