| Description: |
Shrub up to 4 m tall, glabrous, branches horizontal, twigs angular. Leaves numerous, distichous. Stipules 1.5-2 mm long, narrowly lanceolate, acute- acuminate: lamina 0.5-3 X 0.6-1.5 cm, elliptic, elliptic-ovate or broadly ovate, obtuse or subacute, rounded or cuneate at base. Male flowers pedicellate in few- flowered fascicles or solitary in proximal axils. Female flowers pedicellate, solitary in most distal axis. Fruit 4-4.5 mm diameter, subglobose, slightly longitudinally compressed, red throughout becoming black at maturity, glabrous. Seeds 2.7-3 mm long, wedge- shaped, tan- brown, smooth.
