Description: Small tree. Leaves alternate, subopposite towards apex of shoot, lamina 5 - 15 X 2.5 - 8 cm, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, apex acute, long or short acuminate, base rounded, obtuse, shallowly, remotely, obscurely serrate-dentate to subentire, glabrous or with occasional stellate hair present. Inflorescence 5 - 7 cm long, terminal or axillary, glabrous. Capsule c. 1.8 - 2.5 cm long, oblong-obovoid, dull yellow. Seeds 9 X 6 mm, ellipsoid-trigonous, greyish-brown.
