Description: Tree 6-9 m tall, evergreen, glabrous, base of stem throny. Leaves shortly petiolate; lamina 7-12.5 X 1.75- 3.5 cm, lanceolate to elliptic lanceolate, acuminate, acute, subacute at base, crenate or finely serrate- crenate, lateral veins many pairs. Flowers yellow monoecious or appearing dioecious. Fruit 2-2.2 X 2.7 cm, slightly depressed- globose, woody. Seeds c. 12mm long, trigonous, pale briwn.
