Description: Medium-sized deciduous tree. Leaves 15 - 30 cm long; stalk 6 - 12 cm, terete, swollen at base; rachis with (5) 7 - 11 (17) leaflets. Leaflets not brown at lower surface when dried; more or less opposite except the terminal; the basal on 1 - 2 mm long stalks, those near the apex sessile, ovate, the basal ones slightly unequal at the rounded base; apex cordate - acuminate; lower face and part of the upper with scattered stellate pubescence. Panicles branched, 10 - 25 cm long in male, apparently less branched and up to about 15 cm in female. Flowers almost sessile or on 2 mm long stalks. Calyx segments minute, ovate-triangular with scattered stellate hairs outside or glabrous. Petals ovate-oblong. Fruits with persistent calyx; flattened, kidney-shaped.
