Description: Tree branches armed, 27 m tall. Leafless or leaves at flowering, the rachis about 4 cm long, Stipules apparently deciduous; stipels globose; leaflets broadly ovate to deltoid, to about 11X12 cm, papyraceous, acute to obtuse apically, rounded, truncate or slightly cordate basally. Inflorescences erect, to about 30 cm long. Fruits indehiscent, dark, somewhat woody, turgid, linear to narrowly oblong with the stipe about 2 cm long.
