| Description: |
A medium-sized tree to 15 m tall. Leaves deciduous at flowering and fruting, ovate, 7 - 17 X 7 - 12 cm, dark green above, paler and downy beneath, glabrescent, the base + truncate, apex acute to acuminate. Inflorescence ending in globose structures, containing many ternate clusters, petals absent in bisexual flowers, male flowers smaller than the bisexual flowers. Fruit with wings up to 12 cm long, wings spathulate. Seeds covered by testa wrinkled near pedicel and ridged near base of wings.
