| Description: |
A large shrub. Leaves elliptic-oblong to lanceolate, 12 - 30 X 3.5 - 7 cm, sessile or with a very short petiole, basally cordate and semiamplexicaul, acuminate at the apex, coriaceous, more or less shining above. Inflorescence condensed, many flowered congested in tufts at the nodes on the branches below the leaves, flower colours blue to pinkish red. Fruit globose.
