Description: A slender treelet 0.7 - 5 m tall. Leaf blade 4 - 17.5 cm long, 1.5 - 5.5 cm wide, ovate, elliptical ovate-lanceolate or elliptical-lanceolate, acute or obtuse but not rounded at base, gradually acuminate at apex, thinly coriaceous, not undulate, glabrous above except along the midrib, sparsely pubescent with appressed hairs beneath when young. Flower green, solitary, rarely paired from leaf-axils or several from tubercles on the old wood. Fruitlets globose, bright crimson, very succulent, glabrate except at the vertex. Seeds grey, opaque, not separating from fruit-wall.
