Description: Tree up to 10 - 27 m tall. Leaves; lamina (9 -) 13 - 22 (- 30 ) X (4 -) 6 - 11 cm, oblong or elliptic-lanceolate or oblanceolate, broadest at, or frequently rounded to subcordate, coriaceous, glabrous, drying greenish-brown-glossy above, greenish brown with dark reddish-brown venation beneath. Male flowers pedicellate, somewhat numerous, densely umbellate, rusty brownish-yellow-tomentosewithout, light green within. Female flowers fewer in each fascicle, sessile. Fruit solitary or paired, oblong or ovoid, densely orange or rusty-tomentose. Seeds brown or black, very glossy, smooth, with bright yellow or red, fleshy aril.
