| Description: |
A slender tree up to 12 m tall or probably taller. Leaf blade 6 - 15 cm long, 2 - 5 cm wide, elliptical, ovate or lanceolate, acute or more commonly obtuse at base, gradually tapering to an acuminate apex; frequently provided with numerous minute pellucid points, sparsely pubescent with appressed hairs on the lower surface, more densely so on the midrib. Flowers solitary, strictly axillary or fused with the internode for a few mm above the subtending leaf. Fruitlets scarlet when ripe, containing several black seeds.
