Description: A medium sized tree with pale pink-brown bark. Young leaves purplish crimson; mature leaf lamina 2 - 4.5 X 1.2 - 3.2 cm, spatulate or sometimes obovate or broadly elliptic, drying chocolate brown, margin narrowly revolute, base cuneate, apex narrowly retuse, obtuse or shortly, broadly acuminate. Flowers white with crimson calyx, in - 7 cm long dense but slender many-flowered terminal or axillary cymes. Fruit - 2 cm diam., subglobose with prominent apical rim.
